Story of Golimaar Movie:
Gangaram (Gopi Chand) meets his childhood dream of becoming a policeman and very fast, DIG Bharath (Nasser) promotes him to an encounter specialist. He tells Gangaram to wipe off the gangs of Khaleel (Kelly Dorjee) and Saleem (Shavar Khan). Gangaram starts his killing task and in that process; he as well gets to meet Pavitra (Priyamani). Yet, there’s a twist which awaits him and what goes on from on that point frames the rest of the narration.
Actors Performance:
Gopichand has acted his piece as needed and he’s the only saving grace in the film. He appears rather mild this time. Then again, he’s played a decent job.
Priyamani isn’t good and she appeared with over dosed layers of make up that created her unattractive.
Kelly Dorjee has sharp looks but as was common, the characterization of the villain isn’t that solid. Being a muscular don, he finishes up behaving like a small time ring leader in a slum area.
Nasser was natural, Roja was foul, Ali wasn’t mandatory, Mukhtar Khan was just around, M S Narayana was fair, Jeeva, Shawar Khan and others filled up the screen space.
Here are a few life-sustaining points that the director had better understand:
* Comedy had better be used well for this genre of movies
* Care should be taken at the positioning of songs
* How many times the story of Dayanayak will be reused? People have viewed Ab Tak Chappan and Siddham
* Heroine should be glamourous and loveable but not irritable
Final Analysis:
The flick is said to have made up inspired by the real life of Daya Naik, the renowned encounter specialist. However, one can see touches of top cops like Walter Devaram (Madras), Pradeep Sharma (Bombay), Aftab Ahmed Khan etc. On the other hand, this is a serious domain that deals with hard-core criminals and dangerous situations.
And Puri finished up dealing it like a filmy affair. Pictures like ‘Ab Tak Chappan’ forever stand as benchmarks for such genre of movies. The strength was missing here, dialogues were regular and were good at few places, the script wasn’t engaging. Most especially, Puri is recognized for his master strokes and unluckily, there’s no flash of brilliance seen in the film that makes you believe that yes, it’s indeed a movie by him. He attempted to bring in a few twists but they were not demonstrated with needful depth.
The technical values lived all right and there’s absolutely no comedy track. This isn’t to compare the film with ‘Pokiri’ but for a man who’s given us a marvelous hit like that, ‘Golimaar’ is by all oddss not a flick of his caliber.
Music:
Salaam police song starting feels a little odd,but the lyrics were topclass,it blends in like “Nuvve dikku antu aa devudaina pampedi policenera” This song also has a few good dance movements done by Gopichand.
Title song wasn’t upto the mark but the situation was good, and as well the beat “Golimaar”
was good.
Magallu song comes when priyamani drinks, lyrics focus on how the men cheat
the women.
Gundello song is captivating both audio and video wise.
Last long “Ayyayo” was pictuirsed good.
Bacground score was good but might been better. There are some shades of manisharma
in some of the scenes re-recording.
