Karthik (Naga Chaitanya) is a B.Tech Student who dreams to become a film director. He falls in love with Samantha, his neighbour. But there are two problems – One is that she is elder to him and the bigger hitch is that she is a Malayali Christian. After few attempts, she slowly falls in love with him. But her father opposes their love and settles her marriage with another person. She loves him, but can’t hurt her entire family by marrying him. The rest of the story is all about how Karthik achieves his goal of becoming a movie director and gets success in his love.
Actors Performance
Naga Chaitanya: Naga Chaitanya is extremely natural in the role of Karthik. It is basically a conversational film with too many tight close-ups. It requires natural acting talent to do such scenes in an authoritative manner. Naga Chaitanya proves that he is a brilliant actor with his performance in this movie. His dialogue delivery and body language is highly authentic.
Samantha: Samantha is both beautiful and talented in acting. The voice of the artist who dubbed her is excellent. She is the same one who dubbed the voice of Sameera Reddy in ‘Surya s/o Krishnan’.
Others: Krishnudu [Vinayakudu Fame] is very good as hero’s friend. Sanjay Swaroop (producer and husband of Manjula) did the role of hero’s father and he suited it well. Puri Jagan played as himself for a few scenes. All other actors are casted appropriately. Surekha Vani is very good.
Music by A.R.Rehman is excellent. Songs are extremely good and background score, re-recording and mixing is perfectly done.
Final CUT
The entire movie is excellent. The entire credit goes to the director – Gowtham Menon. The movie “Ye Maya Chesave” will do well in A Centers. A Must watch film.
